Cortagen is a short synthetic peptide bioregulator designed to model regulatory peptides associated with cerebral cortical tissue. As part of the tissue-specific peptide bioregulator (cytomedins) class, Cortagen is used to investigate how short peptides may modulate gene expression, protein synthesis, and cellular homeostasis within cortical neurons and supporting cells.
